Laxalt gaining national praise and recognition for his leadership

Scottsdale, AZ – Today, at the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) Spring Meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona, Nevada Attorney General Adam Paul Laxalt is being named a “Rising Star” by the RNC.  He will be participating at the Rising Stars Townhall event, hosted by RNC Co-Chair, Sharon Day.

“It is an honor to have the RNC and Republicans in Nevada and across the country recognize me as a ‘Rising Star’ in our party,” Laxalt stated.  “Coming off historic gains by Republicans in the 2014 election cycle, and with a sleight of really strong leaders in our party seeking the presidency in 2016, it is truly an exciting time and a great opportunity to provide needed leadership in America.”

“It is my belief that Americans are craving a new generation of conservative leaders, particularly from those from the Iraq and Afghanistan generation,” Laxalt continued.  “As a former Navy JAG and Iraq War veteran, I am proud to be a part of this group and to be recognized with other leaders in our party.”

Along with Mr. Laxalt, three other Republicans being named as “Rising Stars” today are West Virginia State Representative Jill Upson, Connecticut State Senator Art Linares and Vice-Chair of the Oklahoma Republican Party Estela Hernandez.

Mr. Laxalt was sworn in as Nevada’s 33rd Attorney General on Monday, January 5th.  At 36 years of age, he is the youngest serving Attorney General in the United States.
